Are fixed assets the same as plant assets?
I use the term fixed assets to mean the same as plant assets. In other words, I believe that both fixed assets and plant assets refer to the assets reported on the balance sheet as Property, Plant and Equipment.

Fixed assets account may contain some accounts like:-
1- Furnature & Fixture
2- Vehicles
3- Building
and Plant and Equipment is part of that account
I would think so. Both assets are valuable more than 12 months or 1 year. They will be used to gain revenue for the company.
as per the definition of fixed assets still we have to consider materiality concept the fixed asset veries according to the volume of the assets that the company holds
assets bought with no intention of resale
thanks a lot
Assets bought for the fuctioning of business and not to re-sell for profit mostly immovable
Plant assets are only a part of Fixed Assets
According to my opinion we use plant assets and fixed assets in same manner
As I think:
Fixed assets name declare that it ralated to the fixed or immoveable things.
Like land, machinary, building atc……
Can i ask my question? How?
