a persons who has a only one share of company is called share holder if a person has a more than one share of a company is called stock holder equity.

Altough the term stock encompasses the shres but it also includes the debenture stock therefore stock-holders can be debenture holders as well as shareholders as many a time debenture holders don’t carry voting rights like primary share holders.
